This month, the team at McKinstry Group exhibited at two Career Fairs in Newtownabbey and Lisburn, meeting school leavers and jobseekers to highlight the diverse and rewarding career opportunities available within the company.
The team attended the first careers fair on 4th February at the Theatre at the Mill, Mossley Mill, hosted by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. They later exhibited at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex for the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council Careers Fair on 26th February, where they engaged with even more prospective candidates from across the region.
As one of Northern Ireland's leading waste management and recycling providers, McKinstry continues to invest not only in infrastructure and innovation, but also in people. The career fairs provided an excellent platform to showcase the wide range of roles that keep the business operating efficiently across the country.
Showcasing Real Career Pathways
Throughout the events, the McKinstry team engaged with attendees interested in exploring careers in:
- HGV driving
- Operational and site-based roles
- Material recycling operations
- Administrative and support roles
- Customer service and logistics
Visitors to the stand learned about the structured training routes available within the business, including licence progression, on-the-job development and long-term career advancement opportunities. As a family-run company with decades of industry experience, McKinstry is committed to supporting employees at every stage of their career journey.
The team was delighted with the level of interest and the positive conversations held at the events, demonstrating growing awareness of the opportunities within the waste and recycling sector.
